Medieval Checkers KZV

How to play

Goal

Capture all of your opponent's pieces or leave them with no legal moves. White moves first. The game follows Brazilian draughts: 8x8 board, ordinary pieces capture forwards and backwards, kings fly, capture is mandatory and you must take the capture that wins the most pieces.

How to move

Tap a piece (the ones that can move have a green border), then tap a highlighted destination square. For multiple captures, tap each landing square one by one.

You have 60 seconds per move. If time runs out the game plays a move for you, and three timeouts in a row lose the game.

AI: against the computer

Choose your piece color and the level: Easy, Medium or Hard. The game starts right away, with no waiting. A win counts on the leaderboard of the level you chose.

Online: quick match

Tap Online and the game finds an opponent for you, with nothing to arrange. The piece color is drawn at random.

Friends: room with a code

Tap Create room and send the 6-letter code to your friend. They type the code under Join (upper or lower case, it does not matter) and you play.

Both players must be in the same mode: Classic or Medieval.

Medieval mode

Each player secretly chooses 3 of their 12 pieces to be medieval, within 20 seconds.

There is a combat only when the piece being attacked is medieval: the capture succeeds with 30% chance if the attacker is an ordinary piece and with 50% if it is also medieval. A piece attacking an ordinary piece always captures.

If the attack fails, the attacking piece is removed and the turn passes to the opponent. The clock is paused during the combat.

Leaderboard

The leaderboard shows your wins and your fastest winning time, with tabs by category. Medieval has its own leaderboard. Only games with at least 6 moves count.

Connection and data

If your internet drops, the clock pauses and you have up to 2 minutes to come back; the app reconnects by itself.

Your nickname and an anonymous code are kept on your device. You can delete everything in Settings.
